Structured Cabling

It is the aim of Datel Services Ltd to supply and install the highest quality yet most cost effective cabling solutions to our clients and we appreciate that network integrity is critical. We are vendor independent and therefore offer a range of cabling products from a variety of well established manufacturers:

This allows our Project Managers, in conjunction with you our client, to choose the solution that meets all of your current and future requirements and your budget.

Datel Services Ltd has the in house expertise to carry out in depth surveys and provide comprehensive and detailed quotations, that are free of charge and with no obligation; the cabling solutions quoted can be any of the following:

• Category 5e structured cabling (UTP or shielded)
• Category 6 structured cabling (UTP or shielded)
• Fibre optic (OM1, OM2, OM3 or OS1)
• Voice cabling (CW1308 internal, CW1128 external)
• DECT base station cabling

Fibre Optic Cabling

With the introduction of high speed Gigabit Ethernet applications and 10 Gigabit Ethernet this has created a need for a new set of standards and performance criteria for fibre optic cabling. The new standards identify the optical performance levels of different fibre optic cables in the same way as category 5e and category 6 does for copper cables.

Replacing the old multi-mode or single-mode class of fibre optic cables there are now four classes as follows: OM1, OM2, OM3, and OS1 (OM = Optical Multi-mode & OS = Optical Single-mode).

Voice Cabling

Although a shrinking market there is still a requirement for stand alone voice cabling networks, our expertise in this field dates back over 30 years, all of our engineers are fully aware of BS6701 the standard for voice cabling and adhere to these guidelines rigidly.

Voice cabling can consist of any of the following:

• Block wiring
• Star wiring
• Overhead, (dropwire, self supporting, or catenary)
• Underground, (ducted or directly buried)
